The Montana House
Brief Description: The Montana House program is currently a collaboration between the Montana Board of Housing (MBOH), the Blackfeet Housing Authority, and Blackfeet Manpower. The MBOH provides the building materials for the homes. In Browning, under the leadership and guidance of the Blackfeet Housing Authority. The building crew, consisting of men and women, is recruited from Blackfeet Manpower. The communities involved have gained not only new, beautiful, high-quality, energy-efficient, affordable homes, but have also increased the skilled labor in their community. This is important for continued building, repairs to homes and for renovation of older homes.
