Nonprofits and government agencies can assist in providing homeownership opportunities several ways.  They include facilitating mortgages, downpayment assistance and actual development funding for construction.  Listed below are the programs for each type of activitiy that governments and non-profits can either apply for funding or send homebuyers for direct  assstance:
