The Homeless Prevention & Rapid Re-housing Program (HPRP) is one of the programs that resulted from the 2009 Stimulus Act, also known as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Below is the contact information for this program:

Funds distributed: $1,451,173
Distribution schedule: $187,500 distributed in FY 2009; $1,875,000 in FY 2010; $1687,500 in FY 2011

Description: These funds will be used to help families or individuals that are currently housed but are at risk of becoming homeless and need temporary rent or utility assistance to prevent them from becoming homeless. These funds will also be used to help families or individuals who are experiencing homelessness and need temporary assistance to obtain and retain housing. This is a new program to be operated by the HRDC’s.
